The company was suffering from declining turnover due to a loss of market share. Pressure on margins was also acute due to rising feed prices and falling bird prices.
We were appointed Administrators to allow us to seek a buyer for the business whilst trading out the bird stocks.
- Buyers for the business were sought during the Administration, but none could agree acceptable occupancy terms with the company’s landlord.
- We continued to run the company whilst birds stocks of 400,000 live and 200,000 frozen were sold under an eight week trading plan.
