Oliver joined Geoffrey Martin & Co's Leeds Office in 2016.
He has been providing restructuring advice to corporates and funders since the late 1990s, having previously worked at three major UK restructuring practices. He has undertaken assignments both nationally and internationally and during the credit crunch of 2007/8 he spent 15 months on secondment to a major clearing bank.
Oliver advises management teams and lenders in distressed situations, often where a consensual restructuring or turnaround is sought. He is empathetic and provides clear and straightforward advice in complex situations.
Typically he finds himself advising clients on working capital management, raising new or alternative funding and negotiating with key financial stakeholders. He has also undertaken a large number of assignments for funders with distressed clients, supporting them in managing their risk.
Away from the office, Oliver is kept busy by his young son, though, when he has a chance to relax he is a keen follower of cricket, rugby union and football and is an amateur student of politics and history.
Oliver is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner.
